I need to hide my WordPress blog user profile from Google Search results. I do not want my author profile to appear if people search my name.

To hide your WordPress blog's author or user profile from appearing in Google Search results when people search your name, then follow the procedure below.  

  • Install Yoast SEO plugin 
  • Go to Users
  • Click edit 
  • Scroll to Yoast SEO settings and tick the checkbox indicated "Do not allow search engines to show this author's archives in search results." 
  • Click Update User   

What this does is that it adds a nonindex robots meta tag that tells Google and other search engines not to display the user's profile in search results.
