Elementor WordPress website builder is celebrating another milestone after it announced on Twitter that it has reached 10 million active Installations.
Elementor growth stats
According to Elementor data, by June 2021 it had 8 million active installations and by January 2022 it had reached 10 million installations. Within 6 months, Elementor had gained 2 million installations. This means that each day, Elementor is installed in about 11k websites.
Why do people love Elementor?
Elementor is the most popular WordPress page builder plugin and 3rd most installed plugin. It has a free and pro version. The Pro plan comes with advanced features and widgets.
Despite the introduction of WordPress block editor, people still prefer to use Elementor for website building. This is because of two main reasons;
- Many page building features and integrations
- It makes it easy to create and customize a website without any coding knowledge.
The future of WordPress page builders
With each release, WordPress is improving its block editor and incorporating some of the features offered by Elementor in the core version. The future does not look good for WordPress page builder plugins unless they become innovative and introduce unique features that WordPress is not likely to add to the core version.
