Godaddy WordPress site URL issue
Godaddy site migration from Linux 4G to Linux Hosting with cPanel did not go well with some WordPress sites as sites are broken and redirecting to a different domain.
The most common issue reported by WordPress users is not being able to access the admin dashboard because of site URL changes. The home page is okay but other pages are pointing to gdmig-mydomain.com. This is making it impossible to access or log in.
How to fix Godaddy site url with gdmig-
We found this solution to fix most of the problems users faced
- Login to your Godaddy cPanel
- Click on phpMyAdmin
- Click on your website database name (on the left sidebar)
- Go to wp_options table
- Under option-value check if your home or siteurl is https://gdmig-domainname.com. If it is, click edit and change to https://domainname.com.
NOTE: https://domainname.com should be your website URL.
