
Godaddy has today announced that it will start charging payment rejection fees for users that provide incorrect account details that lead to a rejected payment (for some payment methods). This will take effect on 26th January 2022.
Godaddy payment rejection fee
Godaddy payment rejection fee is only applicable to some payment methods and the fee varies depending on the payment method you used. Below is a breakdown of the rejection fee for each payment method.
- Electronic Check (ACH) (US only): $11.00
- Wire transfer: $25.00
- Paper check (US onl): $35.00
- eCheck (outside US): $25.00
- PayPal: No rejection fee
Note: PayPal does not attract any rejection fee
Godaddy Minimum payment amount
Here is also the minimum payment amount for each of the mentioned payment methods.
- Electronic Check (ACH) (US only): $10
- PayPal: $25
- Wire transfer: $25.00
- Paper check (US only): $100.00
- eCheck (outside US): $25.00
Notes
Godaddy has not made it clear if you will still be charged rejection fees for payments rejected because of insufficient funds, closed accounts, frozen accounts, and other errors
We are also assuming that rejections arising from payments from credit/debit/prepaid cards, other cards, and eWallets will not be charged rejection fees since they have not been mentioned.
