Payoneer users who have been using the request payment feature for years are reporting that they cannot send payment requests because the button is missing.
Why Payoneer Payment Request Button is Missing
If you have just logged into your Payoneer account to request payment and you cannot see the payment request button then you are among the many users whose account the feature has been disabled.
Payoneer recently updated its terms and disabled the payment request feature in some accounts. In the new Payoneer terms, payment requests are only supported for individuals who are professionals or when doing business-to-business payments. Payoneer now prioritizes payment requests made to registered businesses.
Additionally, the request payment feature is only supported for the following business categories; consulting, content creation, translation, design, management, marketing, logistics, programming, and tech support. Requesting payment for the sale of goods is not supported.
What to do
Before you contact Payoneer customer service, clear your browser cache or try to use a different browser. Also, make sure that you have verified your account by going to settings>verification center and submit the required verification documents. Equally important, check whether the services you offer are under the prohibited list below.
If the payment request feature is still not available and you are sure that the services you offer comply with Payoneer terms, then contact customer service to find out whether the request payment feature is still supported in your country or business category.
If customer service does not help, then the other option is for you and your client to join freelance platforms like Upwork, Freelancer, or Fiverr. Then create a task and ask your client to pay you for the task. Thereafter withdraw the money from the platform to your Payoneer account. This is the last option because you will encounter extra fees.
