What is Shopify? It is one of the most advanced paid eCommerce website builder platform that is used by small business to build powerful online stores. It was founded by Tobias Lutke, Daniel Weinand and Scott Lake in 2006.
How it works: Unlike Woccommerce which runs on top of WordPress.org CMS, Shopify is an independent CMS. To use Shopify, you need to subscribe to a monthly plan of choice. Once you have subscribed, you will be provided access to your admin interface where you can start building your eCommerce site. You will however need to register a domain and add it your Shopify account so that your eCommerce site can be under your domain name.
