
Twitter on 20th January 2022 announced that it is introducing hexagon NFT profile pictures to help creators showcase and sell their non-fungible tokens. Adding NFT to your Twitter profile feature is currently available on iOS devices only.
Twitter NFT profile picture
Twitter NFT profile pictures make it easy to show NFT that you own on Twitter. To add NFT, you are required to connect your account to your crypto wallet.
Wallets that are currently supported include Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Ledger Live, Trust Wallet, Argent, and Rainbow. You also need to hold NFT(s) in the wallet that you want to connect to.
Only JPEG and PNG images minted on the Ethereum blockchain are supported.
How to add NFT to your twitter profile picture
To add NFT to your Twitter profile picture, follow the steps below.
- Go to your profile picture in Twitter iOS app
- Click edit profile
- Add Profile picture
- Two options will appear (Upload photo or Choose NFT)
- Select Choose NFT
- Connect your wallet
- Upload your NFT
- That is it
If someone clicks on your NFT profile picture, a pop-up will appear with details of your NFT and a link to where it can be purchased. If the NFT in your profile is purchased, the profile picture will turn from Hexagon to circle.
It should be noted that you cannot buy NFTs on Twitter.
