
Unsplash, a free images and videos platform has announced that it has reached 5 million image uploads.
Unsplash Images in numbers
According to a post published by Unsplash Team, as of April 14, 2023, Unsplash.com had 5 million images. This makes it one of the most popular royalty-free image websites. The 5 million images were uploaded for free by 332K Unsplash contributors.
Unsplash was founded in 2013 by Mikael Cho and acquired by Getty Images on March 30, 2021. The platform has been on the rise and remains to be one of the most reliable sources of copyright-free photos and videos. Its closest competitor Pixabay has about 3 million images. It was also acquired by Canva in May 2019.
