Zoho has announced the introduction of Zillum, a platform for family communication and file storage.
Zillum by Zoho
A number of Zoho applications like Zoho Mail, Zoho Workdrive (for storage), Zoho Writer (for editing documents), Zoho Sheet, Zoho Show, and Zoho Vault are integrated with Zillum.
Zillum Account creation
To start using Zillum, you must create an account. A subdomain will be assigned to your family name for example trump.zillum.com or you can use your own registered domain. A valid email address and phone number are also required to register.
You will be required to select either 3 family members subscription (for $70 a year with 500 GB storage) or 5 family members subscription (for $100 a year with 1 TB storage) or 10 family members subscription (for $200 a year with 2 TB Workdrive storage).
After registering and adding your Zoho family domain, you can skip other steps and you will be redirected to the admin console.
In the admin console, you can invite family members, create groups, create family folders, etc.
Zillum key features
- Family emails: You can create email addresses for added family members. Email adresses will be associated with your domain or subdomain. For example, if your subdomain is trump.zillum.com and you have a have a family member that you have added called Biden. His email address will be firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Data storage: You can create family groups and folders where you can share and store files. The admin can set data access permissions
- Communication: You can make audio, video calls or start private chats and message
